With this program on March 10, 2021, VRPI continued its series on how to have a productive and collaborative relationship with the freight railroads that host our passenger trains. This time we are looking at how states have purchased rail lines and successfully managed them for the benefit of both passenger and freight operators. Our speakers will cover Florida’s experiences in purchasing rail lines from CSX for that state’s Miami-region Tri-Rail and Greater Orlando SunRail commuter systems.
